Civil Rights Attorney Releases Statement After Maintaining Significant First Place Lead in Race for LA City Attorney

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Today, Faisal Gill released a statement after finishing in first place last week in the primary election for Los Angeles City Attorney. As of the time of this release, Gill is in the top spot with a substantial 21,695 vote lead over the nearest opponent.

Gill released the following statement in reflecting on the favorable election results:

“I am incredibly thrilled, humbled and honored by these results that make clear our campaign will finish in the top spot. First and foremost I’d like to give my tremendous appreciation to everyone who voted, spread the word about our campaign, and offered words of support. This victory would not have been possible without each and every one of you. 

You made your voices heard, demanding real solutions to the issues facing our city and I am so grateful to have you on our team.  Systemic change is possible, and now we're one step closer to building a City Attorney's office that works for everyone in Los Angeles.

 

Now the fight continues until November. I look forward to working hard to further expand my coalition and continue earning the support of Angelenos across every corner of this city so we can build a justice system that works for all of us.”
